We stopped at the New York Cafe and wanted to share that the service provided by Hannah was exceptional. She was welcoming and polite throughout our visit. We must also commend the barista for pulling a great shot of espresso; the coffee was high quality and full of flavor. Additionally, we found the food to be enjoyable and fairly priced. The cafe itself was comfortable and warm, which was especially pleasant after walking in the cold rain.

I’ve been coming to the New York Cafe for years and it is hands down my favorite restaraunt of all time. The menu has a wide range of options including many vegan and gluten free options. I’ve never been disappointed with anything I’ve received, or felt that I wasn’t being given food of high quality. Some of my favorites breakfast dishes are the Shackshuka, Chorizo and Eggs, and Nutella Stuffed French Toast. For dinner and lunch I really enjoy the Kebab, Local Greens Salad, Pork Belly Roll, Classic Burger, and Medi Burger! The atmosphere in the cafe is incredibly welcoming—the vibes are rustic and warm. The servers are ALWAYS on top of things! They are some of the kindest people, and are always willing to answer questions! If I’ve ever had an issue with anything at all, it’s always taken care of right away. The owners of the restaraunt are also some of the coolest people ever, and it’s clear how passionate they are about the cafe. You can tell the servers, kitchen staff, and owners put their heart and soul into this restaraunt! I will always come back here.

Highly recommend eating and experiencing here! The staff was great, particularly Hannah! Tried some draft beers in a flight and had the chowder. Hands down on of the best chowders I have had if not the best! The sourdough bread that comes with it too is excellent! This is a great local spot with true local food and spirit! It is further from the Cruise port and seems most people don’t drift down to see the rest of town. It’s worth it! Come on down and support this kind and tasty business with a neat vintage bar!

Before coming to Ketchikan we saw the great reviews for New York Cafe. We were not disappointed and were very happy we went. Excellent service even though every table was full. Worth the wait. Standing at the bar we had the local ale, Tiger’s Blood. Absolutely amazing! After getting a table we had two of the garlic scallops, salmon chowder and fish and chips. Best meal in town. Over looking the harbor on a rainy day this made our trip! Live music on Friday night.

The food was good. This was another local recommendation. They are a small place and it got crowded fast. Our service was okay. I couldn't tell why because it didn't seem like she had a lot of tables. The salad was good. Great greens; great fish. Loved the toppings with the salad. The goat cheese was good and the pita pieces were delicious. The cod burger and fries were good as well. Great view and convenient location.

Highly recommended! Restaurant was full but we still got a table at lunch quickly. Waiter was fast & efficient. Food was excellent - we had the Halibut Fish & Chips. The halibut was fried perfectly, hot, crispy in the outside & tender, flaky on the inside. The dipping sauce for the fish perfectly complemented the fish. Home fries were crispy outside & tender inside just like the fish. You know the place is good because there was a healthy mix of locals and tourists. Stop in for a quick bite & you won’t be disappointed!

We had freshly cooked local flakey white cod and delicious chips. And ... the best coffee that we’ve had since leaving Australia 5 weeks ago! Attentive staff and a great location. Well done to everyone!

This is a gem of a restaurant. We arrived 10 minutes before they opened in the morning so that we could get a table for four. The coffee was delicious. We all had the smoked salmon scramble, and it was delicious. The staff was incredibly hospitable. If you want to have dinner here, you really need to call for reservations. This is a small establishment, and they often have live music in the evenings. Between the food and the music, it is top notch.
